  • The Registrar is responsible for managing all player and program registrations, maintaining official rosters, and handling registration-related communications for both the recreational and select programs. This position requires strong organization, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage data entry.

    Duties & Accountabilities

    • Club Culture:

      • Promote the Club’s mission statement and values.

    • Schedule:

      • 15 hours per week, including consistent, set weekday office hours.

    • Program Creation & Management:

      • Create, maintain and update all club program registrations within Sports Connect.

    • Customer Service:

      • Make and answer phone calls, send and return emails, and handle direct communication to assist families and staff with registration questions or issues.

    • Risk Management & Compliance:

      • Oversee volunteer, staff and coach compliance, ensuring all required SafeSport, concussion certifications and risk management requirements are completed.

    • Data Organization & Digital Filing:

      • Maintain updated contact spreadsheets, and maintain a clean and organized shared drive, ensuring all club documents are filed correctly and are easily accessible.

    • Select Program Administration:

      • Oversee league registration for all Select teams.

      • Build, maintain, and update official league and tournament rosters.

      • Serve as point of contact for NMYSA and leagues regarding roster submissions, transfers, and player releases.

      • Process and create official player cards for coaches, including guest player cards.

      • Assist with communication and coordination with Select team managers.

      • Assist with administrative tasks and check-in process during tryout week.

    • Other Duties:

      • Other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

    Key Qualities & Requirements

    • Proficiency in Sports Connect is not required upfront, but the candidate must have a strong willingness and ability to learn.

    • Reliable, highly organized, and detail-oriented with paperwork and digital records.

    • Good communication skills and a patient, helpful demeanor when handling questions.

    • Being bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required.

    Compensation

    Hourly rate: $24

  • The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the on-field logistics, day-to-day coordination and equipment of the Development League and other NSC recreational programming. This is a hands-on role that requires on-site presence during active weeks, with the flexibility to return emails and phone calls remotely. No fixed office hours are required.


    Duties & Accountabilities

    • Club Culture: Promote the Club’s mission statement, values and culture.

    • Weekday Practices (Approx. 8 weeks per season): Provide on-site supervision, answer parent and coach questions, handle any issues that may arise, and oversee field setup and teardown of Development League practice fields Monday through Friday.

    • Saturday Game Days (Approx. 8 weeks per season): Provide on-site supervision, answer parent questions, handle any issues that may arise, and oversee field set up and tear down of Development League game days.

    • Winter Programming (Approx. 8 weeks per season): Oversee winter indoor programming (1 day per week, approximately 2.5 hours per day for 8 weeks).

    • Season Prep: Lead Development coaches’ preseason meeting.

    • Inventory & Equipment: Maintain inventory records of Development League equipment and uniforms, informing the Executive Director of any needs.

    • Communication: Make, answer, and return phone calls and emails relating to recreation programming.

    • Referees: Ensure referee coverage for applicable fall and spring Development League games.

    • Reporting: Weekly in-season check-in with the Executive Director.

    • Other Duties: Other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.

    • A positive attitude and a focus on keeping the environment fun and organized for the kids.

    Compensation

    Annual Stipend: $8,750

  • The Northern Niños Coach is responsible for running high-energy sessions for our youngest players. This role focuses on delivering a fun, organized introduction to the game using provided practice plans and equipment. Soccer experience is not required. This is an ideal position for enthusiastic individuals who are great with children.

    Duties & Accountabilities

    • On-Site: Show up on time and run the scheduled sessions for the duration of the season.

    • Session Delivery: Implement pre-designed practice plans provided by the club, ensuring activities keep the kids engaged.

    • Equipment Set Up: Utilize club-provided equipment to set up and tear down activities for each session.

    • Environment Management: Maintain a safe, positive, and highly enthusiastic environment for all participants.

    Key Qualities & Requirements

    • Reliable, enthusiastic and good with young children.

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.

    • Soccer experience is helpful but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to lead the group is most important.

    Compensation

    • Seasonal Stipend: $1,200 for the 8-week season
