The Northern Niños Coach is responsible for running high-energy sessions for our youngest players. This role focuses on delivering a fun, organized introduction to the game using provided practice plans and equipment. Soccer experience is not required. This is an ideal position for enthusiastic individuals who are great with children.
Duties & Accountabilities
On-Site: Show up on time and run the scheduled sessions for the duration of the season.
Session Delivery: Implement pre-designed practice plans provided by the club, ensuring activities keep the kids engaged.
Equipment Set Up: Utilize club-provided equipment to set up and tear down activities for each pratice.
Environment Management: Maintain a safe, positive and highly enthusiastic environment for all participants.
Key Qualities & Requirements
Reliable, enthusiastic and good with young children.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Soccer experience is helpful but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to lead the group is most important.
Compensation
Seasonal Stipend: $1,200 for the 8-week season

Position Overview
Northern Soccer Club is seeking a dedicated, competitive soccer coach for the 26-27 seasonal year. Select Head Coaches are responsible for creating a safe and fun environment that aligns with the club’s core principles of respect, commitment, family, passion and competition. This role focuses on technique training, skill application, teaching the game and character development to prepare players for growth on and off the field.
Core Responsibilities
Player Development & Training: Plan and execute fun, dynamic and high-intensity training sessions that follow the club's Player Development Curriculum.
Game & Tournament Management: Lead the team through all local league games and selected regional tournaments, managing game-day logistics, tactical adjustments and playing-time.
Communication & Professionalism: Maintain clear, proactive communication with parents and club administration regarding schedules, player progress and logistics.
Club Alignment: Adhere to the operational boundaries, code of conduct and standards outlined in the Northern SC Coaches Manual.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensing: USSF Grassroots or D License, or equivalent coaching credentials preferred (or commitment to actively pursuing). Club provides reimbursement for successful coaching course completion.
Compliance: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass all NMYSA background checks, SafeSport compliance, and mandatory safety certifications. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Key Attributes: Strong communication skills, understanding of the game, and a coaching philosophy that prioritizes player development.
Compensation:
Seasonal stipend, 1099 Independent Contractor
Successful candidates must complete Form W-9 verification upon contract signing.
